Custom AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D Tower

This 2026 tower ships with a 16-core AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D at 4.3 GHz, 192 GB of DDR5 memory and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 16 GB graphics card. Two Samsung 990 PRO 4 TB NVMe drives provide 8 TB of solid-state storage. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed.

Suited for local AI and rendering workloads

The 128 MB L3 cache and 32 threads handle large-model inference, video editing and 3D rendering without paging. Builders who need more than 192 GB of RAM or additional PCIe add-in cards should look at a workstation platform with extra slots.

192 GB DDR5 maximum memory

The Gigabyte X870 EAGLE motherboard caps supported memory at 192 GB across four slots, so this configuration already reaches the platform limit. Buyers who anticipate future upgrades beyond that ceiling must choose a different chipset.

Questions about this item

How is the 360 mm AIO liquid cooler installed and which orientation step is often missed?

The cooler mounts to the AM5 socket using the supplied bracket; the pump block must sit level with the CPU heatspreader and the tubes should route downward so air cannot collect in the cold plate.

Which component will need replacement first and what is its rated capacity?

The Thermaltake Toughpower 1000 W 80 PLUS Gold PSU uses a 140 mm fan and Japanese main capacitors; under continuous load the fan bearings typically wear before the capacitors, so plan a PSU swap after several years of heavy use.

What thermal limit appears first during sustained all-core workloads on the Ryzen 9 9950X3D?

The 16-core CPU can reach 5.70 GHz boost, but the 360 mm AIO will hit its heat‑dissipation ceiling before the processor throttles, so coolant temperature becomes the limiting factor during long renders.
