Threadripper 9960X 24-core workstation

This liquid-cooled tower pairs a 24-core AMD Threadripper 9960X running at 4.2 GHz with 128 GB of DDR5 ECC memory and an Nvidia RTX PRO 4000 Blackwell 24 GB GPU. It targets engineers, researchers and creators who need certified professional graphics and high core counts for simulation, rendering or large-model inference.

Upgrade from older Threadripper

The jump is worth it when workloads exceed the memory bandwidth or PCIe lane limits of mainstream desktops, or when ECC memory and 10 GbE networking become mandatory for data integrity. Buyers who only need occasional rendering or single-GPU gaming will not use the headroom this platform provides.

128 GB DDR5 ECC with 1 TB NVMe and 10 TB HDD

The 1 TB Samsung 990 PRO delivers up to 7450 MB/s reads for active projects, while the 10 TB SATA drive with 256 MB cache holds deep archives. Memory capacity handles large datasets and multi-VM setups; storage headroom runs out only when active working sets exceed the single NVMe slot or when sustained write throughput demands exceed the HDD’s SATA interface.

Questions about this item

Will the 520 mm deep Corsair 5000D FRAME case fit on my desk?

The case measures 520 mm deep by 245 mm wide by 520 mm high, so measure your available space against those dimensions before ordering.

Does the 360 mm liquid cooler need any extra steps during installation?

The 360 mm AIO arrives pre-filled and mounted on the Threadripper 9960X; the step people miss is connecting the pump header and the three radiator fans to the correct motherboard headers so the cooling curve works properly.

Can I add more storage later without replacing the 1 TB NVMe or 10 TB HDD?

Yes — the Gigabyte TRX50 AERO D board provides four M.2 slots and eight SATA 6 Gb/s ports, and the case has two 3.5" and four 2.5" bays free for additional drives.
