Adamant Custom Threadripper 9960X Workstation

This business desktop combines a 24-core AMD Threadripper 9960X processor with 128GB DDR5 ECC memory and an Nvidia RTX 5070 12GB GPU. A 1TB NVMe SSD and 10TB HDD provide fast boot and large-capacity storage. The system runs Windows 11 Pro and includes a 1200W 80 PLUS Gold power supply.

Upgrading From Threadripper 9000 Series

The 24-core 9960X delivers 48 threads and up to 5.3GHz boost for heavy multi-threaded workloads. Liquid cooling with a 360mm radiator sustains performance during extended renders or simulations. The jump is worth it when 128GB ECC memory and 10GbE LAN remove bottlenecks in professional pipelines.

Suits AI-Ready Creative And Compute Workloads

Professionals running GPU-accelerated applications, large datasets or virtual machines benefit from the RTX 5070 and high core count. Builders needing more than 128GB RAM or multiple GPUs should look at a larger chassis and motherboard. Buyers without ECC requirements may find simpler platforms more cost-effective.

Questions about this item

Will the 520 mm deep Corsair 5000D FRAME case fit on my desk shelf?

The case measures 520 mm deep, 245 mm wide and 520 mm high, so verify your shelf depth exceeds 520 mm and allows clearance for rear cables.

Which steps are required to seat the sTR5 Threadripper 9960X and connect the 360 mm AIO before first boot?

Align the CPU triangle with the socket marker, lower the retention frame evenly, torque the captive screws in a cross pattern, mount the 360 mm radiator with fans pushing air out, then attach the pump power and PWM cables.

When should I plan to replace the 140 mm PSU fan or the 120 mm case fans in this 1200W liquid-cooled workstation?

The Thermaltake Toughpower 1200W 80 PLUS Gold PSU uses a 140 mm fan rated for long life; the front and rear 120 mm case fans should be inspected annually and swapped if bearing noise appears.
