Workstation for professional compute

This liquid-cooled tower pairs a 24-core Threadripper 9960X with 512GB of DDR5 ECC memory and an RTX PRO 2000 16GB GPU. It targets engineers, researchers and content creators who need certified stability for simulation, rendering and large-model workloads.

Storage capacity and headroom

A 1TB NVMe drive running at 7450 MB/s read and 6900 MB/s write holds the active project set, while a 10TB SATA drive with 256MB cache archives raw footage and datasets. The 512GB memory pool accommodates multi-GPU scale datasets; workloads exceeding that capacity will page to the NVMe tier.

Thermals, noise and power draw

A 360mm quiet-edition AIO and a 1200W 80 PLUS Gold supply with a 140mm fan cool the 24-core CPU and GPU under sustained load. Front and rear 120mm case fans maintain airflow through the Corsair 5000D chassis. Acoustic output stays low during typical compute sessions.

Questions about this item

Will the sTR5 socket Threadripper 9960X fit my existing TRX40 motherboard?

No, the 9960X requires the sTR5 socket on a TRX50 motherboard such as the GIGABYTE TRX50 AERO D included here; TRX40 boards use the older sTRX4 socket and are electrically incompatible.

How can I confirm the 512GB DDR5 ECC memory is running at full capacity after first boot?

Open Task Manager or BIOS and verify 512 GB total appears with ECC status active; the TRX50 AERO D motherboard will report the full 512 GB across its eight DDR5 slots when all modules are seated correctly.

Which drives and cables are already installed versus what I must add for extra storage?

The 1 TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe SSD and 10 TB SATA HDD are pre-installed; the case provides four additional 2.5-inch bays and two 3.5-inch bays with SATA cables included, so only extra drives need purchasing.
