Threadripper 9960X Workstation

This business desktop centres on a 24-core AMD Threadripper 9960X processor running at 4.2GHz with 48 threads. It targets professionals who need sustained multi-threaded throughput for rendering, simulation or large dataset analysis. The sTR5 platform and liquid cooling keep the CPU stable under continuous load.

64GB DDR5 ECC and RTX PRO 2000

Error-correcting DDR5 memory protects data integrity during long compute jobs. The Nvidia RTX PRO 2000 Blackwell GPU adds 16GB of VRAM for hardware-accelerated visualisation and AI-assisted workflows. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed on the 2TB NVMe boot drive.

2TB NVMe plus 10TB HDD

The Samsung 990 PRO delivers sequential reads up to 7450 MB/s and writes up to 6900 MB/s for active project files. A 10TB SATA drive with 256MB cache provides deep capacity for archives and raw footage. Builders who need more than two M.2 slots or a second full-height GPU should verify the TRX50 AERO D layout before ordering.

Questions about this item

How often should the liquid coolant in the 360 mm AIO be checked or replaced?

The sealed 360 mm Quiet Edition AIO is maintenance-free for its service life; no coolant checks or refills are required under normal operation.

Which component hits its thermal limit first during extended all-core workloads?

The 24-core Threadripper 9960X with 128 MB L3 cache and 4.2 GHz base clock will reach its thermal ceiling before the 1200 W 80 PLUS Gold PSU or RTX PRO 2000 GPU under sustained load.

What is the typical noise level from the 140 mm PSU fan and 360 mm radiator fans when the system runs continuously?

The Thermaltake Toughpower 1200 W PSU uses an ultra-quiet 140 mm fan and the 360 mm Quiet Edition AIO is designed for low-noise operation during all-day use.
