Built for professional workloads

This business desktop integrates a 24-core Threadripper 9960X processor with 64GB DDR5 ECC memory and a liquid-cooled thermal solution. It targets engineers, content creators and data analysts who need sustained multi-threaded performance in a tower form factor. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro and an RTX 5060 GPU for visualisation and AI-ready tasks.

Thermals noise and power draw

A 360mm quiet-edition liquid cooler handles the CPU while a 1200W 80 PLUS Gold supply with a 140mm fan delivers power. Front and rear 120mm case fans move air through the Corsair 5000D chassis. The PSU includes over-voltage, under-voltage, over-power and short-circuit protection for stable operation under load.

The deciding specification

The sTR5 platform provides 24 cores and 48 threads with up to 5.3GHz boost and 128MB L3 cache. Buyers who need more than 64GB of memory or a second GPU should look elsewhere. The 4TB NVMe SSD and 10TB HDD combine fast boot and project storage in a single chassis.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 360mm liquid cooler on the sTR5 socket and which step is often missed?

Mount the supplied sTR5 bracket onto the motherboard backplate, apply thermal paste, then secure the cold plate; the step most people forget is connecting the pump power cable to the dedicated CPU_OPT or AIO_PUMP header so the 140mm radiator fans run at the correct curve.

Which component will need replacement first and what is its rated capacity?

The 10TB SATA hard drive with 256MB cache is the only mechanical part; plan to replace it once SMART attributes show reallocated sectors or after the workload exceeds its annualised write budget.

What thermal or power limit appears first when all 24 cores sustain 5.3GHz?

The 1200W 80 PLUS Gold PSU caps total system draw; under full 24-core 5.3GHz load the CPU package alone can approach the PSU’s 12V rail limit, triggering power throttling before the 360mm liquid loop saturates.
