Workstation Core & Memory

This business desktop centres on a 24-core Threadripper 9960X running at 4.2 GHz with 48 threads and 128 MB of L3 cache. It is paired with 64 GB of DDR5 ECC memory on a TRX50 AERO D motherboard for professional workloads that demand stability and multi-threaded throughput.

Buyer Fit & Limits

The system suits engineers, researchers and content creators who need high core counts, ECC memory integrity and a 10 GbE network link in a liquid-cooled tower. Buyers who require more than 64 GB of RAM, additional GPU slots or a different CPU socket should look at other platforms.

Deciding Specification

The single specification that determines suitability is the 24-core Threadripper 9960X with 48 threads and 128 MB L3 cache on the sTR5 platform; if the workload does not scale to that thread count or requires a different socket, this workstation is not the right choice.
