Workstation Core

This business desktop is built around a 32-core AMD Ryzen Threadripper 9970X processor running at 4.0 GHz with up to 5.4 GHz boost. It targets professionals who need high multi-threaded throughput for rendering, simulation or large dataset work. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro and is marked AI Ready for local inference workloads.

Compatibility Checklist

Verify that your peripherals and monitors connect via the available rear ports: two USB4 Type-C, four USB 3.2 Gen 2, four USB 3.2 Gen 1 and a 10 GbE LAN jack. The motherboard uses the sTR5 socket and TRX50 chipset, so any future CPU upgrade must match that platform. Ensure your workspace can accommodate a tower measuring 520 mm deep, 245 mm wide and 520 mm high.

Build Integration

A 360 mm liquid cooler handles the CPU while a 1200 W 80 PLUS Gold power supply feeds the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 16 GB graphics card and all drives. Storage comprises two 4 TB NVMe Samsung 990 PRO SSDs and a 10 TB SATA hard drive, leaving four 2.5-inch and two 3.5-inch bays free for expansion. The Corsair 5000D Frame case includes front and rear 120 mm fans for chassis airflow.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and what must I buy separately?

The workstation ships fully assembled with the Threadripper 9970X, 128GB DDR5 ECC memory, two 4TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe SSDs, a 10TB SATA hard drive, the RTX 5080 16GB graphics card, a 1200W 80 PLUS Gold power supply, a 360mm liquid CPU cooler, Windows 11 Pro 64-bit and the Corsair 5000D case. No screen, keyboard or mouse are included.

Which SSD capacity should I choose for the primary NVMe drives?

The system includes two 4TB Samsung 990 PRO PCIe 4.0x4 NVMe SSDs (8TB total) as the boot and scratch volumes. The 10TB SATA hard drive provides secondary bulk storage. No other NVMe capacities are offered in this configuration.

What does the 5.4 GHz boost figure mean when the machine is under load?

The 32-core Threadripper 9970X can reach up to 5.4 GHz on active cores while the 360mm liquid cooler keeps temperatures in check. Sustained all-core speeds will be lower, but the high boost helps single-threaded bursts in CAD, simulation and AI workloads.
