Workstation Core

This Adamant Custom desktop is a liquid-cooled tower built around a 32-core AMD Threadripper 9970X processor running at 4.0 GHz with up to 5.4 GHz boost. It ships with Windows 11 Pro and 128 GB of DDR5 ECC memory for error-corrected workloads.

Not for Light Use

Buyers who need only standard office applications or casual gaming will find the 1200 W power supply and 10 GbE LAN unnecessary. The workstation class also exceeds requirements for single-threaded tasks that do not scale across 64 threads.

GPU Decides Fit

The installed Nvidia RTX 5070 with 12 GB VRAM determines whether this system matches your visual-compute pipeline. If your software demands a different GPU architecture or more video memory, the graphics card is the specification to evaluate.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 360mm liquid cooler on the sTR5 socket and what step is often missed?

Mount the sTR5-specific cold-plate bracket before placing the 360mm radiator; the step people skip is tightening the four captive screws in a cross pattern so the CPU makes even contact.

Which components will need replacement first during the workstation's life?

The 140mm PSU fan and the two 120mm case fans are the only moving parts rated for wear; the sealed 360mm AIO and the 10TB HDD with 256MB cache typically run for years without service.

What thermal or power limit appears first when all 32 cores sustain 5.4GHz boost?

The 1200W 80 PLUS Gold PSU and the 360mm liquid cooler set the ceiling; sustained 5.4GHz on 32 cores can draw enough power to hit the PSU's over-power protection before the coolant saturates.
