32-Core Threadripper Workstation

This business desktop pairs a 32-core AMD Threadripper 9970X processor with 512GB of DDR5 ECC memory for multi-threaded workloads. The system targets professionals who need sustained compute performance in rendering, simulation or data-analysis tasks. A 1200W 80 PLUS Gold power supply delivers stable power to every component.

Liquid Cooling and Quiet Operation

A 360mm quiet-edition liquid cooler keeps the 32-core CPU at controlled temperatures during extended heavy loads. The Thermaltake 1200W unit uses a 140mm fan and Japanese capacitors to maintain low acoustic output. Front and rear 120mm case fans provide steady airflow through the Corsair 5000D Frame chassis.

Storage and Expansion Ready

A 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe drive handles the operating system and active projects while a 10TB SATA hard drive with 256MB cache stores large archives. The Gigabyte TRX50 AERO D motherboard supplies four M.2 slots, eight SATA ports and multiple USB 3.2 and USB4 connections. Two 3.5-inch and four 2.5-inch internal bays remain available for future drives.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 360 mm liquid cooler on the sTR5 socket without bending the cold-plate?

Mount the supplied TR50 AERO D back-plate, apply paste, then tighten the four spring-loaded screws in a cross pattern until each spring is fully compressed — that seats the cold-plate evenly on the 32-core Threadripper 9970X.

Which component will need replacement first — the 10 TB SATA drive or the 1 TB NVMe SSD?

The 10 TB SATA HDD with 256 MB cache has moving parts and a lower MTBF, so it typically fails before the solid-state Samsung 990 PRO.

What thermal limit appears first when all 32 cores sustain 5.4 GHz boost?

The 360 mm Quiet Edition radiator and 1200 W Gold PSU handle the load, so the CPU’s own 5.4 GHz ceiling is reached before cooling or power throttles.
