Liquid-Cooled Threadripper Workstation

This business desktop pairs a 32-core Threadripper 9970X with a 360 mm liquid cooler, 64 GB DDR5 ECC memory and an Nvidia RTX A400 graphics card. It is built for engineers, data scientists and creative professionals who need sustained multi-threaded performance in a quiet tower. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro 64-bit and is AI Ready for local inference workloads.

8 TB NVMe SSD plus 10 TB HDD

Two 4 TB Samsung 990 PRO drives deliver up to 7450 MB/s reads and 6900 MB/s writes for active projects and scratch space. The 10 TB SATA hard drive adds 256 MB cache bulk storage for archives and datasets. When the NVMe array fills, the platform supports four M.2 slots total, so capacity can be expanded without removing the existing drives.

Quiet liquid cooling and 1200 W Gold PSU

A 360 mm quiet-edition AIO handles the 9970X up to its 5.4 GHz boost while case airflow uses 120 mm front and rear fans. The Thermaltake 1200 W 80 PLUS Gold unit runs its 140 mm fan at low speed under typical loads, keeping acoustic output low. Over-voltage, under-voltage, over-power and short-circuit protections guard the components during sustained render or compute sessions.

Questions about this item

Will the 32-core Threadripper 9970X and 1200W PSU work with my existing sTR5 motherboard if I move the CPU?

The CPU uses the sTR5 socket and the board is a Gigabyte TRX50 AERO D; the 1200W 80 PLUS Gold unit powers the 32-core 9970X, RTX A400, 64GB DDR5 ECC, two 4TB NVMe drives and 10TB SATA HDD together.

How do I verify the 360mm liquid cooler and RTX A400 are running correctly after first boot?

Check that the 360mm AIO pump and 140mm PSU fan spin quietly, then confirm the RTX A400 4GB shows four active MiniDisplayPort outputs and the Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drives report PCIe 4.0 x4 speeds.

Which accessories ship in the Corsair 5000D FRAME case and what must I add?

The tower includes the Threadripper 9970X, 64GB DDR5 ECC, dual 4TB NVMe SSDs, 10TB HDD, RTX A400 with four MiniDisplayPort cables, 360mm liquid cooler, 1200W PSU, Windows 11 Pro and front 120mm, rear 120mm, plus 140mm PSU fans; you add a monitor, keyboard and mouse.
