Threadripper 9980X workstation

This liquid-cooled tower pairs a 64-core AMD Threadripper 9980X processor with 64GB DDR5 ECC memory and an Nvidia RTX A400 graphics card. It ships with Windows 11 Pro and is built for professional workloads that demand high core counts and certified drivers. The 1200W power supply and 360mm AIO cooler support sustained heavy compute.

Build integration

The Corsair 5000D Frame case provides internal bays for two 3.5-inch and four 2.5-inch drives, plus front-panel USB 3.0, USB 3.1 Type-C and audio. The Gigabyte TRX50 AERO D motherboard adds rear USB4 Type-C, multiple USB 3.2 Gen 2 and Gen 1 ports, eight SATA 6Gb/s connectors and four M.2 slots. A Marvell AQC113C controller delivers 10GbE networking.

Storage and GPU headroom

A 4TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drive offers sequential reads up to 7450 MB/s and writes up to 6900 MB/s for active project files. A 10TB SATA hard drive with 256MB cache stores bulk archives. The RTX A400 includes 4GB video memory and four Mini DisplayPort outputs for multi-monitor setups. Buyers needing more than 64GB system memory or a GPU with larger VRAM should plan upgrades.
