64-Core Threadripper Workstation

The Adamant Custom desktop pairs a 64-core AMD Ryzen Threadripper 9980X with 64GB of DDR5 ECC memory and an Nvidia RTX 4000 Blackwell GPU. It is built for professionals who need maximum multi-threaded compute and certified driver stability for simulation, rendering or AI development workloads. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed.

PCIe 4.0 Storage Limits

The two 4TB Samsung 990 PRO SSDs operate over a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface, reaching sequential reads up to 7450 MB/s and writes up to 6900 MB/s. The 10TB hard drive connects via SATA 6Gb/s and will not exceed that bus speed. No faster NVMe standard is supported by the platform.

64-Core CPU Decides Fit

The Threadripper 9980X delivers 64 cores and 128 threads with a 5.4 GHz boost clock and 256MB L3 cache. Buyers who need fewer cores or lower memory capacity should choose a smaller configuration because this platform targets the highest multi-threaded throughput tier.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the dual 4 TB NVMe drives or the single 10 TB hard drive for my main storage?

The two Samsung 990 PRO 4 TB NVMe SSDs give up to 7450 MB/s read and 6900 MB/s write for the operating system and active projects, while the 10 TB SATA hard drive adds 256 MB cache bulk capacity for archives and backups.

What does the 64-core Threadripper 9980X actually deliver inside this chassis?

The processor runs at 3.2 GHz base with a 5.4 GHz boost, 256 MB L3 cache and 128 threads, all cooled by a 360 mm liquid loop so sustained multi-thread workloads stay at high frequency without thermal throttling.

How does the PCIe 4.0 x4 link affect the RTX 4000 Blackwell 24 GB and the NVMe drives?

Both the GPU and each 4 TB NVMe SSD connect through PCIe 4.0 x4 lanes on the TRX50 motherboard, so the graphics card keeps full compute bandwidth and the SSDs hit their rated 7450 MB/s read ceiling without sharing lanes.
