Adamant Custom Threadripper 9980X Workstation

This new business desktop integrates a 64-core AMD Ryzen Threadripper 9980X processor with a 360mm liquid cooler, 64GB DDR5 ECC memory, and an Nvidia Geforce RTX 5070 Ti 16GB graphics card. Storage combines two 4TB NVMe Samsung 990 PRO SSDs in RAID with a 10TB SATA hard drive. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed.

Suits compute-intensive professional workloads

The 64 cores and 128 threads handle rendering, simulation and large-dataset analysis, while ECC memory protects data integrity. The RTX 5070 Ti 16GB supports GPU-accelerated pipelines and virtual reality preview. Buyers who need more than 64GB RAM, additional GPU memory, or a different GPU architecture should consider other configurations.

64-core Threadripper 9980X decides fit

This CPU delivers 64 cores, 128 threads, up to 5.4 GHz boost and 256MB L3 cache on the sTR5 platform. If the workload scales across 64 cores and benefits from high single-thread frequency, the system matches the requirement. If the software is limited to lower thread counts or relies on instruction sets not present in this architecture, the extra cores remain idle.

Questions about this item

Will the Corsair 5000D Frame case fit on a 520 mm deep shelf?

Yes, the case depth is 520 mm, so it matches a 520 mm shelf exactly; allow extra space for rear cables and the 360 mm radiator hoses.

What is the correct orientation for the 360 mm AIO radiator and fans in this build?

Mount the 360 mm radiator at the front of the Corsair 5000D Frame with fans pulling cool air through the radiator into the case; the pump block sits on the sTR5 socket with the supplied Threadripper mounting kit.

Which drive should I plan to replace first — the 10 TB HDD or the 8 TB NVMe array?

The 10 TB SATA HDD has moving parts and a 256 MB cache; mechanical drives typically wear out before the two 4 TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe SSDs, so budget for an HDD swap first.
