Workstation with Threadripper 9980X

This liquid-cooled tower pairs a 64-core AMD Ryzen Threadripper 9980X with 256GB DDR5 ECC memory and an Nvidia RTX A400 GPU. A 2TB NVMe Samsung 990 PRO drive and a 10TB SATA hard disk provide fast and bulk storage. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed for immediate deployment.

Suited for heavy compute workloads

The 64 cores and 128 threads excel at rendering, simulation and large-scale data processing. ECC memory adds reliability for long-running tasks. Buyers who need multiple high-end GPUs or more than four display outputs should look at other configurations. The single RTX A400 limits graphics throughput for intensive visual workloads.

Check sTR5 motherboard and 1200W power

Verify that your environment can accommodate a tower measuring 520mm deep, 245mm wide and 520mm high. The 1200W 80 PLUS Gold supply requires a suitable mains circuit. Ensure the 360mm liquid cooler has clearance in your rack or desk space. Confirm that four Mini DisplayPort connections match your monitor inputs.

Questions about this item

What motherboard socket must the system already use to support the Threadripper 9980X CPU?

The workstation uses the sTR5 socket on the GIGABYTE TRX50 AERO D motherboard, so any compatible upgrade or service must match that socket.

Will the four Mini DisplayPort outputs on the RTX A400 GPU work with my older DisplayPort 1.2 monitors?

Yes, the RTX A400 provides four Mini DisplayPort connectors that are backward compatible with earlier DisplayPort cables and monitors.

How can I verify the liquid cooler is running after I power on the workstation?

Check that the 360 mm radiator fans spin, feel coolant flow in the tubes, and confirm CPU temperatures stay low under load in Windows 11 Pro.
