ADATA C008 64GB USB 2.0 Capless Drive

The ADATA C008 is a 64GB USB 2.0 flash drive built around a sliding capless mechanism. It suits anyone who wants quick file transfers between PCs, tablets, smart TVs, in-car systems, game consoles or home entertainment units without hunting for a lost cap. The red matte body includes a strap hole for keychain or phone attachment. Buyers who need faster interface speeds or hardware encryption should look elsewhere.

Capless Slider and Strap Hole

The thumb-activated slider extends the USB connector with one hand and retracts it just as easily, removing the common annoyance of misplaced caps. The recessed strap hole lets you loop a lanyard or keyring through the drive so it stays with your keys or bag. No bundled software, encryption utilities or accessories are mentioned in the specifications, so the hardware alone defines the experience.

Plug-and-Play Installation

Insert the extended connector into any USB Type-A port and the drive appears as mass storage on Windows, macOS, Linux, Chrome OS, Android TV and most console dashboards without drivers. The only common issue is forcing the slider the wrong way or plugging the drive in before the connector is fully extended, which can bend the mechanism or prevent detection.

Questions about this item

Will the sliding USB connector on the C008 wear out after repeated daily use?

The thumb-swipe mechanism is built into the compact body and has no separate cap to lose, so the connector stays protected during storage and travel.

What transfer speed ceiling will I hit first when copying large files all day?

The drive uses a USB 2.0 interface, so sustained reads and writes are limited to that standard's maximum throughput.

Does the C008 get hot or draw extra power if left plugged in for hours?

USB 2.0 flash drives run on bus power and produce minimal heat during normal operation, with no active cooling required.
