SD Express SD7.0 performance

The ADATA Premier Extreme SD Express Card delivers read speeds up to 800 MB/s and write speeds up to 700 MB/s using PCIe Gen3 x1 and NVMe. It offers roughly 1.5 times the throughput of SATA SSDs and about 2.7 times the speed of UHS-II cards. The 512 GB capacity provides ample space for high-resolution media files.

For cameras and PCs with SD 7.0

Creators shooting 4K video benefit from the V30 rating and sustained 100 MB/s performance on UHS-I devices. The card is backward compatible with UHS-I slots for capture, then reaches full speed when moved to a system supporting SD 7.0. Buyers whose workflow relies on older UHS-II readers or non-SD 7.0 hosts will not see the advertised peak rates.

No bundled software or accessories

The product ships as a standalone memory card without included software, adapters or recovery tools. Its value comes from the native SD Express architecture that eliminates the need for a separate external SSD enclosure. Users must supply their own SD 7.0 compatible reader or host device to unlock the maximum 800/700 MB/s transfer speeds.

Questions about this item

Does my camera or card reader need to support SD 7.0 to reach the 800 MB/s read speed?

Yes, the 800 MB/s read speed requires a host that supports SD 7.0 with PCIe Gen3 x1 and NVMe.

If I use the card in a UHS-I camera, will it still record 4K video reliably?

Yes, the card is backward compatible with UHS-I and rated V30, sustaining 100 MB/s write speed for 4K recording.

After setup, how can I confirm the card is running at its full 800/700 MB/s potential?

Run a benchmark on a PC with an SD 7.0 reader; sequential reads should approach 800 MB/s and writes 700 MB/s.
