USB-C 128GB flash drive

The ADATA UC300 is a 128GB USB 3.2 Gen 1 flash drive with a reversible USB Type-C connector. A capless sliding mechanism protects the plug when not in use. It offers sequential read speeds up to 100MB/s and is backward compatible with USB 2.0 ports.

Suits USB-C laptops and phones

This drive suits users with modern USB-C laptops, tablets or smartphones who need portable storage for documents, photos and 4K video clips. Buyers whose devices only have USB-A ports or who require sustained write performance for large project files should look at other options.

100MB/s read speed

The key specification is the maximum read speed of 100MB/s over USB 3.2 Gen 1. This determines how quickly you can open or copy files from the drive. Verify that your host device supports USB 3.2 Gen 1 to achieve this rate.

Questions about this item

Does the 100 MB/s read speed drop when the UC300 is plugged in all day?

The drive has no active cooling, so sustained writes may slow once the controller warms up; typical idle power draw is low and it produces no audible noise.

What must my device already have to use the USB Type-C sliding connector?

A USB Type-C port that supports at least USB 2.0; the drive works with laptops, desktops, smartphones and tablets that expose that interface.

Will the UC300 work at full speed on my older USB 2.0 Type-A ports with an adapter?

It is backward compatible with USB 2.0, so it will function but transfers will be limited to USB 2.0 speeds rather than the 100 MB/s peak.
