A Dell-compatible 10GBase-SR SFP+ transceiver for 300 m multimode links at 850 nm with LC connectors, TAA compliant and DOM support
This AddOn 407-BCBN-AO module provides 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity over multi-mode fibre. It uses an 850 nm wavelength and LC duplex connectors to reach 300 m. The SFP+ form factor fits standard switch and router cages. TAA compliance suits federal procurement requirements.
The transceiver is rated for continuous use from 0 to 70 °C. Digital optical monitoring lets the host system track temperature, voltage and optical power in real time. This visibility helps maintain link stability during extended high-throughput workloads without thermal surprises.
Confirm the host equipment accepts SFP+ modules and supports 10GBase-SR optics. Multi-mode fibre with LC connectors must be installed end to end. The 300 m reach assumes OM3 or OM4 cable; longer runs or single-mode plant will not work with this module.

The transceiver is rated for an operating temperature range of 0 to 70 °C, so it is designed to handle sustained line-rate traffic without exceeding thermal limits.
You will need OM3 or OM4 multi-mode fibre with LC duplex connectors to achieve the 300 m reach at 10 GbE.
No, the module operates at a fixed 10 GbE speed and requires a 10 GbE SFP+ port; it will not negotiate down to 1 GbE.
