The AddOn ADD-LC-LC-1M5OM3 is a laser-optimised multimode fibre patch cable built for professional audio and network installations. It uses duplex LC connectors and an aqua-coloured OM3 jacket to identify 50/125 micron fibre. The low-smoke zero-halogen construction meets fire-safety requirements for in-wall and plenum routing without conduit.

Upgrade from legacy multimode links

The cable replaces older 50/125 multimode patch cords that cannot reliably carry 10 gigabit signals over distance. It supports 10 gigabit transfers up to 300 meters using an 850 nm VCSEL source and delivers 2000 MHz/km effective modal bandwidth. The jump is worth it when existing cabling limits bandwidth or lacks plenum-rated fire protection.

Integrates with patch panels and active gear

The duplex LC terminations connect directly to fibre patch panels, hubs, switches, media converters and routers.
