A 3-metre passive SFP+ direct-attach cable carrying 10 Gbit/s over 30 AWG copper with copper-plated connectors
The AddOn DAC-SFP-10G-3M-AO is a passive twinax cable assembly built for 10 Gbit/s links. It carries SFP+ connectors on both ends and spans 9.84 ft. The 30 AWG copper construction is suited for rack-to-rack or switch-to-server connections inside the cabinet.
This cable fits environments that need a low-latency, low-power 10 Gbit/s interconnect without active optics. It works with network devices that accept SFP+ direct attach copper. Installations requiring greater reach or fibre media should consider other media types.
The 30 AWG gauge and passive design set the practical distance limit for 10 Gbit/s operation. Verify that the link length matches the 9.84 ft specification before deployment. Longer distances will require active or optical alternatives.

The passive copper construction has no active components to wear out; replace only if the cable jacket or connectors show physical damage.
