10G SFP+ Transceiver for Short-Range Fibre

This AddOn transceiver delivers 10 Gbps connectivity over multi-mode fibre at 850nm. It is designed for network equipment that accepts SFP+ modules with LC duplex connectors. The unit is compatible with SolarFlare OEM platforms and initialises identically to the original Finisar part. It suits data-centre links up to 300 metres.

300-Metre Reach on Multi-Mode Fibre

The module supports 10 Gbps transfer rates across distances up to 300 metres on OM3 or OM4 multi-mode cable. Beyond that range the optical budget is exceeded and errors will increase. Digital optical monitoring is included so link health can be observed in real time. It does not support single-mode fibre or longer-reach 10G standards.

Hot-Swappable SFP+ Module with LC Duplex

The transceiver plugs directly into any standard SFP+ cage without powering down the host. An LC duplex patch cord completes the physical link to the fibre plant. No additional configuration is required because the module carries the necessary OEM configuration data. It frees a 10G port for short-range uplinks or server connections.
