Rackmount keyboard for 19 inch server racks

The Adesso AKB-425UB is a 1U compact keyboard built to the EIA RS 310C specification for standard 19 inch server racks. It integrates a Cirque Glidepoint touchpad with scroll and tap gestures plus dedicated left and right click buttons. Wired USB connectivity ensures reliable operation in industrial data centres and server rooms.

Seven multimedia hotkeys and five internet shortcuts

Dedicated keys control volume, mute, media playback, email access and browser search directly from the rack drawer. Quiet membrane switches provide a responsive feel rated for over five million keystrokes per key. The layout streamlines system navigation without leaving the rack environment.

Single USB wired connection only

No wireless, Bluetooth or PS/2 option is included, so the unit requires a free USB port on the host server or KVM. Buyers needing wireless freedom or legacy PS/2 compatibility must choose a different model.

Questions about this item

Will the 1U AKB-425UB fit in my existing 19 inch rack drawer?

Yes, it follows the EIA RS 310C specification so it mounts in any standard 19 inch rack drawer designed to that standard.

How can I verify the Cirque touchpad gestures are active after plugging it in?

Test two finger scrolling and tap to click on the desktop; the dedicated left and right click buttons should also register immediately without extra drivers.

Does the box include rack mounting rails or only the keyboard itself?

The unit is the keyboard and integrated touchpad only; mounting rails or a rack drawer are sold separately.
