Ergonomic Split-Key Layout with Touchpad

The Adesso AKB-450UB is a full-size wired keyboard designed for desktop users who want a single input device. Its curved split-key frame and built-in palm rest promote a neutral wrist posture during long sessions. An integrated GlidePoint touchpad replaces a separate mouse, reducing reach and desk clutter.

Suited for Typists Wanting Mouse Integration

This model suits office workers and home users who prefer membrane feel and dedicated media control without extra peripherals. It is not for buyers who want mechanical switches, per-key backlighting, or a compact form factor that omits the numeric keypad. Gamers needing macro programming or N-key rollover should look elsewhere.

104-Key USB Layout with 20 Hotkeys

The keyboard provides a standard 104-key QWERTY arrangement and connects through a single USB cable for driver-free operation on Windows. Twenty dedicated hotkeys handle media playback, volume, email, browser launch, and system power functions. Membrane switches are rated for over five million keystrokes.

Questions about this item

What does the wired USB connection limit for this keyboard?

The wired USB link provides plug-and-play operation on compatible Windows systems without extra drivers, but it restricts placement to the cable length from the host port.

What physical space does the AKB-450UB need on a desk?

The full-size 104-key frame includes a split-key layout, built-in palm rest and integrated GlidePoint touchpad, so it occupies more width than a standard keyboard.

How is the keyboard installed and what step do users often miss?

Connect the USB cable to the computer; Windows recognises it instantly, but the 20 multimedia hotkeys only work after the operating system maps the default key assignments.
