Purpose-built dash cam

The Adesso GO95132G Orbit 951 is a dual-channel vehicle camera system that records 1920 x 1080 footage from both front and rear lenses. A 2.4 inch screen lets you review clips on the spot, while the magnetic adhesive mount makes daily removal quick and secure. Drivers who want continuous evidence without hard-wiring will appreciate the included OBD II power cable.

Who it suits and who it doesn't

Commuters and rideshare drivers gain 24/7 surveillance with low-voltage protection that cuts power at 11.6 volts to preserve the car battery. Wi-Fi connectivity allows live view and clip sharing to a phone, and GPS logging adds speed and location data to every recording. Buyers who need a third interior lens, a built-in battery for parking mode without the OBD cable, or a larger display should look elsewhere.

Sustained operation

The OBD II supply keeps the unit recording around the clock, and the automatic shutdown threshold prevents a flat battery during long parking periods. Video files are written continuously in a loop, so storage management stays consistent over weeks of daily use. GPS and speed-limit alerts remain active during extended drives, and the magnetic mount holds firm through vibration and temperature swings.

Questions about this item

Does the Orbit 951 need a separate rear camera to record behind the vehicle?

The kit includes a rear camera that records 1080p footage alongside the front unit, so no extra purchase is required.

Will the OBD II power cable drain the battery on a car that sits for weeks?

The cable monitors voltage and shuts the camera off automatically when the battery drops to 11.6 volts, preventing a full discharge.

How can I confirm the GPS is logging speed and location after I install the Orbit 951?

Connect to the camera Wi-Fi from your phone and open the app; the live view overlay shows real-time speed and the recorded route on a map.
