Handheld 2D barcode scanner

The Adesso NUSCAN 2700R is a handheld barcode scanner built for retail, warehouse and light-industrial workflows. Its 2D imaging engine reads common 1D symbologies plus PDF417, Data Matrix, QR Code and MicroQR. Cordless 2.4 GHz operation or a direct USB link gives flexibility for mobile or fixed stations. The spill-resistant housing helps protect internal components in environments where liquids are present.

Wireless charging cradle and mounting

A charging cradle with an integrated USB receiver provides hands-free scanning while the scanner recharges, making the system plug-and-play on Windows 2000 through Windows 10 and Mac OS X. The cordless link works up to 150 ft, reducing cable clutter at the point of sale. Wide angular tolerances of ±45 degree pitch, ±40 degree yaw and ±360 degree roll let operators scan from varied angles without precise alignment.

Upgrade from tethered 1D scanners

This unit replaces tethered 1D-only scanners when 2D code support and freedom of movement become necessary. The 120 FPS CMOS sensor with 5 inches per second motion tolerance speeds throughput during peak periods. It is not suited for users who need ruggedised drop ratings beyond the spill-resistant design or for fixed-mount installations that require a different form factor.

Questions about this item

How far does the 2.4 GHz wireless link reach before it caps out?

The 2.4 GHz RF link works up to 150 ft from the cradle receiver before signal drops.

What clearance does the charging cradle need on a countertop?

The cradle footprint matches the scanner at 6.61" x 3.34" x 2.44" and weighs 0.22 lb, so it fits in a standard POS cut-out.

How do I pair the scanner to the cradle, and where do users get stuck?

Plug the cradle USB into the host, seat the scanner in the cradle until it beeps — users often skip the beep wait and wonder why it stays unpaired.
