Pocket scanner for mobile POS

The Adesso NuScan 3500TB is a handheld 1D/2D barcode scanner weighing under 3 oz. It reads common linear codes and 2D symbologies including PDF417, Data Matrix, QR Code and MicroQR. Bluetooth 4.0 connects wirelessly to iOS or Android devices up to 30 ft away. IP66 rating, antimicrobial housing and 7 ft drop protection suit retail, field-service and clinical workflows.

Check host device and power

Verify the target tablet, phone or PC supports Bluetooth 4.0 and the required HID or SPP profile for keyboard emulation. The scanner draws 132 mA at 3.3 VDC from its internal 1200 mAh lithium-ion cell; charge via the included detachable magnetic cable to avoid port wear. Ensure your application can accept scanned data over the chosen Bluetooth profile before deployment.

Thermals noise and power

No moving parts or active cooling mean silent operation and negligible heat during continuous scanning. The CMOS sensor tolerates motion up to 24 in/sec while the battery delivers a full shift of typical use between charges. Magnetic cable attachment reduces connector strain, and the rugged IP66 shell maintains performance in wet, dusty or sanitised environments.
