What this product is

The aFe Power 2.5 gallon car trash can is a waterproof, leak-proof container designed to hold daily vehicle waste such as wrappers, tissues, cups and bottles. It targets drivers and passengers who want a tidy interior on long trips or daily commutes without dealing with spills. It is not for buyers who need a larger bin for bulky items or a built-in console unit that requires permanent installation.

The specification that decides fit

The sealed vinyl lining makes the interior fully waterproof and leak-proof, so liquid spills stay contained and the can wipes or rinses clean in seconds. This single feature determines whether the bin suits users who regularly dispose of drinks, wet wipes or food containers. If you only ever throw dry paper, a simpler fabric bin without a sealed liner would also work.

Behaviour under sustained load

Hook-and-loop fasteners on the base and adjustable straps anchor the can to seats, consoles or the floor, preventing it from sliding on bumpy roads over hours of driving. The rigid frame keeps its 10.5 by 8.25 by 6.75 inch shape even when filled to the 2.5 gallon limit, while mesh side pockets and a front pocket remain accessible for wipes or small tools throughout the journey.
