Classroom Electric Sharpener 6–11 mm

The AFMAT PSX3BK is a mains-powered electric pencil sharpener built for 6–11 mm round, hexagonal and triangular pencils. It sharpens a new pencil in about three seconds and a dull one in roughly one second, then stops automatically to prevent waste. The ABS housing with stainless-steel blade is rated for 10000 sharpening cycles.

Suited for Teachers and Desk Users

Ideal for classrooms, offices and home desks where a quiet, fast sharpener that plugs into a 120 V outlet is wanted. The auto-stop function and safety interlock that disables operation when the shavings box is removed make it practical for shared use. Buyers who need battery or rechargeable operation, or who cannot use a 120 V supply, should look elsewhere.

10000-Cycle Blade Life

The single specification that decides fit is the 10000-cycle durability rating combined with the 6–11 mm pencil-range limit. If your daily volume exceeds that cycle count or you regularly sharpen pencils outside the 6–11 mm range, this model will not meet the requirement.

Questions about this item

Will the 11 mm opening accept the thicker coloured pencils I already use?

Yes, the sharpener handles standard pencils from 6 to 11 mm diameter including round, hexagonal and triangular shapes.

How do I confirm the auto-stop feature is working after I plug it into a 120 V outlet?

Insert a pencil; the motor runs and stops automatically once the point is sharp, then the shavings box must be seated for the next cycle.

Does the box include a power cord or do I need to buy one separately?

The unit comes with a fixed cord for 120 V wall outlets; no extra cable is required unless your supply exceeds 120 V.
