The AFMAT PSX5BKET is a fully automatic electric sharpener designed for coloured pencils from 7 to 11.5 mm in diameter. It auto-feeds and auto-ejects each pencil once sharpened, providing a hands-free experience. The robot-style body with dotted eyes appeals to children and fits on a small desk or in a backpack. Rechargeable Operation and Jam Clearing

The unit runs on an internal rechargeable battery and supports use while charging with a 5 V 2 A adapter. A replaceable helical blade (ASIN) extends service life. If broken lead jams the blade, reinsert a hard HB or 2B pencil to dislodge debris, or remove the lid and blade piece to clear the jam with a steel wire. Do not sharpen pencils shorter than 2.9 inch, as they can become stuck and stop the motor.

Three Tip Settings and Soft-Core Limits

Sharp, medium and blunt tip settings cover fine-line drawing, general writing and broad shading. The manufacturer notes that soft-core pencils should use medium or blunt settings to reduce tip breakage, as the strong helical blade can snap delicate leads on the sharpest setting. Pencils outside the 7 to 11.5 mm range cannot be accommodated, and very short stubs below 2.9 inch will jam the mechanism.
