Thermal scope for hunters and tactical users

The AGM Global Vision Rattler V2 TS50-640 is a new thermal imaging scope built for hunters and tactical professionals. It uses a 640x512 resolution sensor with sub-20 millikelvin sensitivity to deliver crisp thermal images in harsh conditions. A 50mm Germanium lens supports detection ranges up to 2600 meters. The package includes a custom ADM QD mount, two batteries, charger, USB cable, lens cloth, manual and case.

Thermals noise and power in normal use

The scope runs on a rechargeable battery housed in an upgraded compartment that provides up to 9 hours of continuous operation. A raised five-button layout allows easy navigation while wearing gloves. Wi-Fi hotspot connectivity enables wireless streaming and control without extra cables. The simplified menu layout and 10 reticle options reduce setup time during standard observation or hunting sessions.

Behaviour under sustained load

Shot Activated Recording captures footage automatically during repeated firing sequences without manual intervention. Multiple zeroing profiles store settings for various calibers and rifles, maintaining accuracy across extended engagements. The 2.5x base magnification combined with 2.5x to 20x digital zoom sustains identification capability at distance throughout long sessions. The QD mount permits quick removal and reattachment while preserving zero under heavy recoil.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the scope using the ADM QD mount, and what step is often missed?

Attach the custom ADM QD mount to the Picatinny rail, then press the quick-detach lever until it clicks; the step often missed is re-verifying zero after the first removal and reattachment.

What maintenance or replacement will the rechargeable battery need over time?

The rechargeable battery supports up to 9 hours of run time per charge; expect capacity to fade after several hundred charge cycles, requiring a replacement battery to restore full duration.

At what distance does detection become unreliable under sustained scanning?

The 640×512 sensor with 50 mm Germanium lens is rated for detection up to 2600 meters; beyond that range heat signatures fall below the sub-20 mK sensitivity threshold.
