33-litre touring tail box

The AHR 33MTB005-R33L-06 is a universal motorcycle tail box offering 33L of lockable storage. It fits motorbikes, scooters and cruisers that have a rear luggage rack. Commuters and travellers can stow a full-face or half-face helmet along with gloves, tools, a laptop or rain gear in a single compartment.

Capacity and everyday headroom

The 33-litre volume holds one helmet plus smaller items such as air pumps, covers, cameras, toiletry bags and repair kits. When a bulky helmet and a laptop are packed together the box reaches its practical limit, so riders carrying two helmets or large camping gear will need additional luggage.

Build, security and mounting

The shell is moulded from sturdy PP plastic that resists water, wear, scratches and impact, and it carries a DOT-218 safety rating. An electroplated metal mounting plate bolts to the rack while a keyed lock with two keys secures the lid. A contoured backrest adds lumbar support on long rides, and reflective strips on the rear improve night visibility.

Questions about this item

Will the 33L tail box fit on the rear luggage rack of my older cruiser?

The box is compatible with motorbikes, scooters and cruisers that have a rear luggage rack; the electroplated metal mounting plate bolts to standard rack patterns.

How can I confirm the DOT-218 safety rating is valid on the unit I receive?

Look for the DOT-218 label moulded into the PP shell and verify the lock engages cleanly with both supplied keys.

Does the package include the mounting hardware and backrest, or must I buy them separately?

The box ships with the electroplated metal mounting plate, safety lock with two keys and the comfortable backrest already fitted; no extra parts are required for installation.
