Eight fans and seven angles

The AICHESON AA3-8F is a laptop cooling pad that moves air with eight 70 mm fans spinning between 2600 and 3000 RPM. A roller switch adjusts the speed while the stand locks into seven positions from 10 to 30 degrees. Two USB 2.0 ports pass data or power through the pad so no port is lost. RGB lighting runs ten modes controlled by a fingerprint touch strip.

Suits 14 to 17.3 inch notebooks

Builders using 14 to 17.3 inch laptops gain extra airflow and a raised screen without losing USB connectivity. The pad weighs 2.4 lb and measures 15.67 by 11.8 by 1.26 inches, so it fits most desks. Users who need a quieter profile below 17 dB or a smaller footprint for 13 inch ultraportables should look at other models.

Eight 70 mm fans at 2600 to 3000 RPM

The cooling capacity rests on eight fans that each deliver 2600 to 3000 RPM. This airflow volume is the single figure that decides whether the pad can handle sustained loads on a 17.3 inch chassis. If the laptop thermal design demands more cubic feet per minute than these fans supply, temperatures will not drop enough.

Questions about this item

Does my laptop need a free USB-A port to run the AA3-8F's eight 70 mm fans?

Yes, the pad draws DC 5 V through the included USB A-A cable, so one USB-A port on the laptop or a powered hub is required to spin all eight fans.

Will the 15.67" x 11.8" footprint and 70 mm fans still cool a 14-inch ultrabook that I keep alongside a 17.3-inch workstation?

The stand adjusts from 10° to 30° in seven steps and fits 14- to 17.3-inch laptops, so both sizes sit securely and receive airflow from the same eight fans.

How can I confirm the RGB lighting and fan-speed roll switch are working after I plug it in?

Tap the fingerprint touch sensor to cycle through the ten RGB modes and turn the roll switch; fan noise should rise from 17 dB toward 38 dB as speed increases.
