Compact audio and media player
The Aigital S05B-32 is a pocket-sized device that plays music, video, photos and text files while adding FM radio and voice recording. It ships with a 32 GB micro SD card and accepts cards up to 128 GB for extra storage. The 1.8 inch LED screen shows menus and media at 128 x 160 resolution. Button controls handle playback and navigation without a touchscreen.
Playback limits of the built-in formats
Audio support covers MP3, WMA, FLAC, AAC and APE files, but video is restricted to the AMV container only. An AMV conversion tool is included on the player to prepare clips for the small display. The micro USB 2.0 port handles charging and file transfers at USB 2.0 speeds. The rechargeable lithium-polymer cell delivers up to 20 hours of audio playback per charge.
Replaces a phone for focused listening
Buyers who want a dedicated music device without notifications or streaming dependencies will find the jump worthwhile. The built-in speaker allows quick playback without headphones, while the recorder captures lectures or radio broadcasts in WAV format. Users who need Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, app support or modern video codecs such as MP4 should look elsewhere.
