Compatible ribbon pack for IBM 4247 series

This six-pack of black printer ribbons is engineered for the IBM 4247 V-Series, X03 and Z03 models as well as the 4249 line. Each cartridge is built to match original OEM specifications using new components. The ribbons are air-sealed in a factory certified to ISO 9001, ISO 9002 and ISO 14001 standards. They are intended for 110 V machines operating in North America.

Reliable output with no warranty impact

The compatible ribbons install directly into supported dot-matrix printers without modifying the hardware. Print quality meets or exceeds the original equipment standard for everyday business forms and reports. Using these supplies does not void the printer manufacturer's warranty. The air-sealed packaging helps preserve ink consistency during storage.

Replaces OEM ribbon 57P1743 for cost savings

This pack replaces the IBM 57P1743 ribbon cartridge at a lower per-unit cost. The jump is worth it for offices running high-volume continuous-feed printing on the listed IBM models. Buyers who need colour ribbons or cartridges for non-IBM dot-matrix printers should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I install the ribbon cartridge in my IBM 4247 printer, and what step is often missed?

Open the printer cover, remove the old cartridge, insert the new ribbon cartridge until it clicks into place, then close the cover. The step often missed is advancing the ribbon manually using the knob to remove slack before printing.

What maintenance or replacement will this ribbon need later?

Each ribbon is a single-use cartridge. When print quality fades or becomes patchy, replace the entire cartridge with a fresh one from the 6-pack. No re-inking or partial servicing is possible.

What limit appears first during sustained high-volume printing with these ribbons?

The ribbon ink depletes first, causing faded or incomplete characters. Continuous heavy use shortens the life of each cartridge, so keep spares from the 6-pack ready for quick changeover.
