Compact 12G-SDI Distribution

The AJA 1x6 12G-SDI Reclocking Distribution Amplifier is a miniature device built for professional video facilities. It takes a single SDI input and provides six separately buffered outputs identical to the recovered signal. This unit suits engineers who need to split 12G-SDI for 4K/Ultra HD single-link workflows without adding latency.

Build and Connectors

The throw-down package fits behind a monitor, in a rack rear or on a camera rig. A locking power connector prevents accidental disconnection and a universal power supply with international plugs is included. An optional P-TAP cable allows battery power for remote locations. An LED indicator shows signal presence for quick on-site verification.

Cable Reach Limits

Automatic input detection handles 12G, 6G, 3G, HD and SD-SDI formats with re-clocking and equalization on 1694 coax. Maximum distances are 90m at 12 Gbps, 125m at 6 Gbps, 160m at 3 Gbps, 200m at 1.5 Gbps and 470m at 270 Mbps. The unit passes all ancillary data but cannot extend cable runs beyond these physical limits.
