Professional USB-C Condenser Microphone

The AKG Ara is a professional-grade USB-C condenser microphone designed for podcasters, video bloggers, gamers and musicians who need high-resolution audio capture at their desktop. It records at 24-bit, 96kHz resolution for clear speech and detailed instrument tracks. The dual-capsule array provides two selectable pickup patterns. Plug-and-play operation works with Mac, PC, iOS and Android devices.

Directional or Omni Pattern Selection

This microphone suits creators who need to switch between focused solo recording and capturing multiple people or room ambience. The Front cardioid pattern isolates a single voice or instrument while rejecting side noise. The Front + Back omni pattern picks up sound from all directions for group discussions or ensemble performances. Users who require XLR connectivity or hardware DSP processing should look at different equipment.

USB Connectivity and Mounting Check

Verify your device has a USB-C port or an appropriate OTG adapter for mobile use. Class-compliant drivers mean no software installation is required on supported operating systems. The package includes an integrated base stand, and the microphone also mounts on standard boom arms or common microphone stands. A headphone jack on the unit provides zero-latency monitoring with volume, gain and mute controls.
