AKG Lyra Ultra HD USB Microphone

The AKG Lyra Ultra HD USB Microphone is a professional-grade condenser microphone designed for high-quality audio capture. It connects directly to computers and mobile devices via USB for immediate plug-and-play operation. The microphone suits creators who need versatile recording capabilities without an audio interface.

Podcasters streamers musicians and mobile creators

This microphone serves solo podcasters, streamers, musicians, and mobile content creators who need multiple pickup patterns in one device. It is not suited for users who require XLR connectivity for professional mixing consoles. Buyers needing more than four capture modes or hardware gain controls should consider other options.

Four-capsule adaptive array with four capture modes

The four-capsule AKG Adaptive Array provides Front, Front & Back, Tight Stereo, and Wide Stereo capture modes for flexible recording scenarios. Internal Element Overload Prevention, an internal shockmount, and a built-in sound diffuser work together to reduce noise automatically. This specification determines if the microphone matches your recording environment needs.

Questions about this item

Will the 44 kHz sampling rate record cleanly through my older USB 2.0 hub?

The Lyra is a plug-and-play USB device compatible with Windows, Mac, iOS and Android, so it will operate through a standard USB 2.0 connection without extra drivers.

How can I verify the Ultra HD audio quality is active after plugging it in?

Select the Lyra as your input device, choose one of the four capture modes — Front, Front & Back, Tight Stereo or Wide Stereo — and monitor the signal; the internal overload prevention and shockmount automatically manage levels for clean results.

Does the package include a stand or do I need to buy a mount separately?

The supplier data lists only the Lyra Ultra HD USB Microphone itself; no stand, cable or additional accessories are mentioned, so plan to source a compatible mount or boom arm if you need one.
