Lead vocals and instruments
The P820 Tube condenser microphone targets lead vocals, brass, electric guitars and drums. A dual one-inch diaphragm capsule and ECC83 dual-triode circuitry deliver genuine tube character. Nine selectable polar patterns adapt to different sources and room acoustics.
Studio integration
An elegant remote control switches polar patterns without touching the microphone. A switchable bass-cut filter removes low-frequency rumble and footfall noise. A switchable attenuation pad handles sound pressure levels up to 155dB SPL for close-miked loud sources. The included spider shock mount isolates the capsule from mechanical vibration and the metal carrying case protects the microphone during transport.
Upgrade path
The P820 Tube replaces entry-level condenser microphones when tube warmth and pattern versatility are required. The jump is worthwhile for project studios that need nine polar patterns, a remote control and 155dB SPL handling in a single package. It is not for users who only need a single fixed cardioid pattern or who require a microphone without external power supply dependencies.

Questions about this item
What is the maximum SPL the P820 Tube handles with its attenuation pad engaged?
The switchable attenuation pad lets the P820 Tube handle up to 155 dB SPL for loud sources such as drums or guitar cabinets.
How much self-noise or heat does the ECC83 tube circuit add during long sessions?
The ECC83 dual-triode tube runs warm but the microphone body stays cool; no fan is present so operation is silent.
Does the package include the power supply and cable needed for the tube circuit?
The box lists only the microphone, spider shock mount and metal carrying case; a dedicated tube power supply and multi-pin cable are required separately.
