Adjustable Drafting Stool

The Alera ALEWX4614 is a black fabric drafting stool designed for sit-to-stand workstations and elevated surfaces. It supports users up to 275 lb and offers a seat height range of 27.95 to 33.66 inches. Assembly is required before use.

Foot Ring and Armless Option

The integrated foot ring provides a stable platform for the feet at higher seat positions, reducing leg fatigue. The stool can be assembled with or without arms, allowing the buyer to choose a configuration that fits the workspace.

Height Range and Capacity Limits

The pneumatic lift adjusts within the stated 27.95 to 33.66 inch range, which suits standard drafting tables but may not reach conventional desk heights for all users. The 275 lb weight capacity defines the maximum safe load; exceeding it risks structural failure.

Questions about this item

How often should the pneumatic height cylinder be checked or replaced on the ALEWX4614 drafting stool?

The pneumatic cylinder on this Alera drafting stool has no published service interval; inspect it if the seat no longer holds the 27.95 to 33.66 height range or sinks under load.

What component reaches its limit first during continuous daily use at the 275 lb capacity?

The gas-lift cylinder and reinforced nylon base are rated together for the 275 lb maximum; sustained loading at that limit will stress the cylinder seals before the frame.

Does the stool generate noticeable heat or noise when occupied all day?

No powered or moving parts produce heat or sound; only the foot ring and optional arm brackets may creak slightly if hardware loosens over time.
