Alera Kempton Task Chair

The Alera Kempton ALEKP42BME17 is a black task chair built for office and home workstations. It supports users up to 275 lb with a fabric seat and breathable mesh back. Height and width adjustable arms align shoulders while a molded foam seat with a waterfall edge reduces leg pressure. Three lockable recline positions allow personalised comfort throughout the day.

Ergonomic Adjustments

Side mounted tilt tension adjustment lets you set reclining resistance without leaving the seat. Seat height moves between 18.31 and 22.17 inches to match desk height and user stature. Adjustable lumbar support targets lower back comfort needs directly. Lockable positions hold the backrest at preferred angles for focused work or relaxed reading.

Included Components

The chair ships with all parts required for assembly including the base, casters, gas lift and armrests. No additional software or accessories are bundled with this model. Buyers who need a headrest, coat hanger or specialised casters for soft flooring must source those separately. The package contains only the standard chair components listed in the manufacturer specifications.

Questions about this item

How do I assemble the Alera Kempton Task Chair ALEKP42BME17, and which step causes the most trouble?

Attach the base, gas lift, seat, back and arms using the included hardware; the step most people rush is aligning the back bracket bolts before fully tightening them, which can leave the backrest slightly crooked.

What parts of the Alera ALEKP42BME17 will need maintenance or replacement over time?

The gas-lift cylinder, casters, arm pads and mesh back tension spring are the components most likely to wear out; the molded foam seat and fabric cover are not user-replaceable.

What is the first limit I will hit on the Alera Kempton chair during long sitting sessions?

The 275 lb weight capacity is the hard structural limit; exceeding it can damage the base or cylinder, while the 18.31 to 22.17 in seat-height range and three lockable tilt positions define the adjustment boundaries.
