What it is

The allentian 1540 is a red sports watch with a 48mm round dial and a 250mm silica gel strap. It weighs 53g and uses an electronic movement with a number display. The ABS case is rated for 50m water resistance.

Installation and common issues

The needle buckle fastens the strap without tools and the ordinary crown sets all functions. The plastic mirror can scratch if knocked against hard surfaces. Buttons should not be pressed while the watch is submerged.

Who it suits and who it does not

Buyers who want a lightweight digital watch with dual time, alarm, countdown and calendar functions will find it practical. Those who need a sapphire crystal, a metal bracelet or a higher water rating should look elsewhere.
