Bluetooth 3.0 Optical Mouse

This allentian mouse connects through Bluetooth 3.0 and operates at a distance of up to 10m. It runs on two AAA batteries, which are not supplied. The adjustable sensor offers 800 or 1600 DPI resolution for everyday pointing tasks.

Power consumption and standby

The device draws a work current of 12mA during active use and drops to a standby current of 0.2mA when idle. Bluetooth 3.0 keeps the link stable across the 10m range without a separate receiver. Battery life will vary with usage patterns and battery quality.

Adjustable 800/1600 DPI sensor

The single specification that decides suitability is the dual-resolution optical sensor, switchable between 800 and 1600 DPI. It covers general office work and casual browsing but may not satisfy users who need higher sensitivity steps or a dedicated DPI button. System support lists Windows ME through Windows 8.

Questions about this item

How do I pair the Bluetooth 3.0 mouse with my computer and what step is often missed?

Enable Bluetooth on the PC, put the mouse in pairing mode, then select it in the OS Bluetooth settings; the step often missed is inserting the two AAA batteries first, because the mouse will not power on without them.

What maintenance will this mouse need over time?

The only regular maintenance is replacing the two AAA batteries when the cursor starts lagging or stops responding; no other user-serviceable parts are inside.

At what distance does the connection become unreliable during continuous use?

The rated working distance is 10 metres; beyond that range the link may drop or become intermittent, especially with obstacles or interference.
