Wireless gaming mouse for everyday play

The allentian K-Snake BM900 is a 2.4 GHz wireless mouse with six programmable buttons and a 500 mAh built-in lithium battery. Its ergonomic ABS shell uses a frosted finish that resists sweat and fingerprints during long sessions. A four-way scroll wheel and three DPI levels (1200, 2400, 3200) cover office work and casual gaming. The macaron green colour adds a distinctive look to any desk setup.

2.4 GHz link limited to ten metres

The 2.4G connection works reliably up to 10 m in open space, but walls, metal furniture or other 2.4 GHz devices can reduce the practical range. There is no Bluetooth fallback, so the USB receiver must stay plugged in for the mouse to function. Battery life depends on RGB lighting usage and polling intensity, which are not quantified in the specifications. Users needing wired reliability or multi-device pairing should look elsewhere.

Three fixed DPI steps decide suitability

The sensor offers only 1200, 2400 and 3200 DPI with no software-adjustable intermediate values. Competitive players who require precise sensitivity tuning or higher maximum DPI will find this range restrictive. The photoelectric sensor and four-way wheel perform well for general productivity and entry-level gaming. Buyers who need on-the-fly DPI shifting or granular control should consider a different model.

Questions about this item

Which DPI setting should I pick for everyday work versus fast gaming?

The mouse offers three fixed DPI levels: 1200 for precise office tasks, 2400 for general desktop use, and 3200 for quicker screen traversal in games; switch with the dedicated button to match the activity.

How far can I sit from the receiver before the 2.4 GHz link drops out?

The 2.4 GHz wireless connection is rated for up to 10 metres of clear line-of-sight; walls or other 2.4 GHz devices may reduce the practical range.

What does the 500 mAh battery actually deliver between charges?

The built-in 500 mAh lithium cell powers the sensor, four-way scroll wheel and RGB tail lighting; exact hours depend on DPI level and lighting brightness, but the capacity is sized for multiple days of typical mixed use.
