The Allied Telesis AT-FS709FC is an unmanaged Fast Ethernet switch with nine total ports. Eight copper ports run at 10/100 Mbps and one uplink port supports 100 Mbps fibre. The rack-mountable chassis fits desktop and small-network deployments. Redundant power supply support is included for added reliability.

Sustained switching behaviour

As an unmanaged Layer 2 device the switch forwards frames at wire speed across all ports without configuration. The 100 Mbps uplink provides a consistent fibre backbone for continuous traffic between cabinets. No management overhead means deterministic latency during prolonged data transfers.
