Universal Quad Display Docking Station

The ALOGIC DV4 is a 16-in-1 docking station designed for professionals who need to expand a single laptop into a multi-monitor workstation. It supports up to four extended displays when connected through a USB-C host with DP Alt Mode, and provides two extended displays via a USB-A host connection. This unit suits users who require broad video-output flexibility from one compact hub.

16-in-1 Connectivity and 80cm Cable

The sixteen integrated ports eliminate the need for separate adapters by combining video, data and charging interfaces in a single device. An 80cm USB-C tethered cable links the dock to the host, giving enough reach to sit behind a monitor stand without strain. This all-in-one layout keeps the desk tidy while delivering every connection a typical productivity setup demands.

USB-C DP Alt Mode Host Requirement

Quad-display operation at full specification is only available when the host laptop supplies USB-C DP Alt Mode; without it the HDMI 1 and DisplayPort 1 outputs cannot activate. A USB-A host limits the station to two extended screens, and using HDMI 1 together with DisplayPort 1 mirrors the image rather than extending it. Buyers must verify their laptop’s USB-C capabilities before expecting four independent displays.

Questions about this item

Will the 80cm USB-C cable need replacing if it frays from daily bending?

The dock ships with a single 80cm USB-C host cable; if the cable is damaged it can be swapped for another USB-C cable of the same length and rating.

Which video output hits its resolution ceiling first when four monitors are driven continuously?

HDMI 1 and DisplayPort 1 share bandwidth and mirror each other when both are active, so that pair reaches its limit before the independent HDMI 2 and HDMI 3 ports.

Does the aluminium chassis stay cool and silent during an all-day quad-display workload?

The unit has no fan and relies on passive heat dissipation through its metal enclosure, so it runs silently and warm to the touch under sustained load.
