Quick-Release Female G1/4 Coupling

The Alphacool Eiszapfen 1015608 is a quick-release female fitting with a G1/4 external thread finished in Deep Black. It lets builders disconnect a water-cooling loop without draining coolant, making loop reconfiguration or component swaps faster and cleaner.

Check Thread Compatibility First

Verify that the component you plan to attach it to — radiator, reservoir, pump top or similar — provides a G1/4 internal thread. The coupling measures 86 mm in length and 32 mm in width and depth, so confirm there is enough clearance around the port for the quick-release mechanism to operate freely.

Replaces Fixed G1/4 Fittings

This part replaces a standard rigid G1/4 fitting when you need tool-free disconnection for maintenance, transport or frequent hardware changes. The jump is worth it if you value leak-free uncoupling while the loop is running; it is not for builders who never open their loop or who require angled or rotary adapters.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and do I need to buy the male plug separately?

The box contains one Alphacool Eiszapfen Quick Release Female G1/4 AG Deep Black coupling. The matching male plug is sold separately so you can choose only the parts your loop requires.

The specs list 86 x 32 x 32 mm — which version fits a standard G1/4 port?

This model has a G1/4 inch external thread, the common size for radiators, reservoirs and pump tops, so it fits any standard G1/4 port in a custom loop.

How does the quick-release female coupling behave when I disconnect it while the loop is running?

Alphacool's N.D.S.L. technology seals both sides instantly, letting you uncouple a running system without drips or splashes.
