Replacement GPX Mounting Bracket

This nickel-finished bracket replaces the GPX mounting hardware on compatible Alphacool waterblocks. It secures the block to the motherboard mounting frame using the existing screw pattern. The part number is 17212 and the supplier reference is 12183. One bracket is included in the package.

For Alphacool waterblock owners

This bracket suits builders who have lost or damaged the original GPX mounting bracket on an Alphacool waterblock. It does not fit waterblocks from other manufacturers or mounting systems that do not use the GPX pattern. Buyers needing a different socket kit or a universal retention frame should look elsewhere.

GPX pattern compatibility

The bracket works only with Alphacool waterblocks designed for the GPX mounting pattern. Verify that your specific waterblock model lists GPX mounting before purchasing. No other mounting patterns or socket types are supported by this part.

Questions about this item

Will the nickel finish on the 17212 bracket need any special care to prevent corrosion over time?

The bracket is made of nickel with a chrome colour finish. No special maintenance is required beyond normal handling; avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage the surface.

What is the first limitation when using this bracket continuously in a high-heat water-cooling loop?

The bracket is a passive metal mounting component with no moving parts or thermal limits of its own. The system limit will be the waterblock or coolant temperature, not the bracket.

Does the 12183 bracket generate any noise or add heat when the system runs all day?

No. It is a static nickel mounting bracket with no fans, electronics or moving parts. It produces zero noise and adds no measurable heat to the loop.
