- 5 mm bend radius eases routing in tight spaces
12-fibre OM3 trunk cable for high-density links
This 100-foot multimode trunk cable uses Corning ClearCurve OM3 fibre with 12 fibres in a single jacket. Non-pinned MPO connectors on both ends follow Type-B polarity for key-up-to-key-up alignment. The plenum-rated OFNP jacket meets fire-retardant requirements for in-building runs.
Verify MPO polarity and connector gender before
Ensure your patch panels, cassettes or transceivers accept non-pinned MPO interfaces and require Type-B key-up-to-key-up mapping. The cable operates at 850 nm and 1300 nm with a 7.5 mm minimum bend radius, so confirm pathway clearance and bend-radius limits in your installation. Compliance marks include UL, CE, IEC, TIA and RoHS.
Pre-terminated ends and snap-in clips simplify
Factory-terminated connectors are tested to 0.20 dB typical and 0.35 dB maximum insertion loss with 20 dB return loss. Snap-in strain-relief clips aid cable management in dense racks. The lightweight 3.0 mm jacket reduces bundle weight while supporting 10 GbE to 300 m and 40/100 GbE to 100 m at 850 nm.

Questions about this item
Does the 12-fiber MPO trunk cable arrive pre-terminated and ready to install, or must I field-terminate the connectors?
The cable ships pre-terminated with non-pinned MPO connectors on both ends and includes snap-in strain-relief clips, so it is ready for immediate deployment.
When should I choose this Type-B OM3 cable instead of a Type-A or single-mode version?
Choose this Type-B (key-up to key-up) OM3 multimode cable when your link requires 10 GbE up to 300 m or 40/100 GbE up to 100 m at 850 nm and the patch-panel polarity map calls for Type-B.
What does the 0.35 dB maximum insertion loss mean for a live 40 GbE link at 100 metres?
At 850 nm the cable meets a 0.35 dB max insertion loss, leaving ample margin within the 40/100 GbE 100 m channel budget for connectors and patch cords.
