Extra-Large Silicone Swim Cap
The Altatac cap measures 8.8"x12" and is built for adults with long dreadlocks, braids, locs or afro hair that typical caps cannot contain. Its high-volume shape reaches the lower back so bulky styles stay fully covered without compression. The silicone construction resists tearing and holds hair securely during laps. Unisex white finish suits pool or open-water sessions.
Capacity and Headroom
The XL dimensions swallow thick braids or dreads that extend past the shoulders, eliminating the pressure points that force hair out of standard caps. Ears sit comfortably inside the deep profile, reducing water ingress and drag. The generous opening slides over voluminous styles without snagging, yet the material grips the forehead gently like a headband. Very short or fine hair will find the fit loose and prone to leaking.
Upgrade From Standard Caps
Swimmers who constantly fight caps that pop off, rip at the seams or leave ears exposed gain a reliable seal that lasts multiple seasons. The thicker silicone outlasts thin latex or lycra alternatives that degrade after a few chlorinated swims. If your hair sits close to the head or you prefer a tight race fit, this extra-large volume is unnecessary and will feel oversized.
